Story of the Family Business

Founders of Cycle3 IT Staffing, Brian and Cari Borsa were in college in the late 1980s and early 1990s as universities were shifting from typewriters to computers and the dawn of the internet (World Wide Web) was emerging. Brian began his career working in the U.S. government sector and in Law Enforcement while exploring the world of being entrepreneur.

Brian entered the Information Technology field in 1996 and worked as a recruiter, account management, new business development, project management, managing consultants and IT merger acquisitions. Brian started off working in a make shift office, essentially a small utility room, for a start up branch office where he serviced IT clients in both Saint Louis and Dallas Texas.

Cari Borsa, Brian’s wife has been involved in Cycle3 IT Staffing from its inception. She graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Design Management, and has a Masters in Business Administration. Cari worked extensively with CAD/CAM software in the early 1990s within the commercial design industry. She has been a critical part of Cycle3 IT management, being the backbone of finance/accounting and other corporate responsibilities.

Brian and Cari thought a family business’s success would truly be complete by incorporating as many family members as possible from the ground up to build a solid foundation for the firm.

All three of their children have worked in various capacities over the years from a young age. They all grew up in the business. Their daughters Lane and Libbi have worked well into their mid twenties with Cycle3. Lane has been involved with many aspects of the business from data management, to marketing and recruiting and is now the Business Development Manager for the Mid West Region. Libbi too has been integral to the company working in marketing, recruiting and training. Their son Timothy has worked in the firm from a young age in various roles including Web Design/Development and other areas of the business. Brian’s mother who was in HR for 25 years has contributed to the Cycle 3 IT team. Brian’s Uncle who was in sales/marketing for 40 years has also been on staff throughout the years.

Everett Marshall joined Cycle3 IT in the beginning and brings many years of experience in Radio, Media, Marketing and IT Solutions. Everett and Brian have known each other since the early 1990s’ and have worked on several projects together prior to coming together at Cycle3 IT. Everrett heads up the Podcasting Division for Cycle IT, Marketing and Data Management.

Jason Roloff is the Director of Business Development for both the South & West Regions. Jason and Brian worked together for several years back in the early 2000s. Jason brings many years of experience in the IT Staffing and Solutions field and is a true asset to the team.

Alec Ockrassa is the Solutions Manager / Web Developer. Alec and Brian have known each other for many years and have talked about working together for several years. Alec brings many years of experience from managing his family’s business, as well as several years of IT experience.

Steve Ellis is the Director of Business Development for both the North & East Regions. Steve and Brian met in 2003 while working together on projects for a government political party committee. Steve was head of IT for that organization for several years. Steve brings many years of experience in IT governance, database management, and IT Solutions.

Bo has known one of our team members for many years and when an opening came up she was a natural choice for our organization. Bo graduated with a degree in Cyber Security and came to join the Cycle3 IT Team in the capacity of a Web Developer and Cyber Security Analyst.
